What We Believe
Our Doctrinal Statement
Airdrie Baptist Church is guided by the fundamental teachings on which Baptists have historically stood. We hold the KJV Bible as our sole authority for matters of faith and practice. Our church is autonomous, and we believe in the priesthood of all believers, with direct access to God through Jesus Christ. The two ordinances of baptism and the Lord's Supper are observed according to the Scriptures. Each individual is responsible for their decision to accept Christ and follow the teachings of the Bible. We adhere to the biblical principle of the separation of state and church, and we believe in the eternal security of the believer.
Doctrinal Beliefs - Key Principles
As an Independent Baptist church, we are not affiliated with any particular Baptist denomination or governing body. We independently select and support missionaries, appoint our own leaders, and endorse institutions that align with our beliefs. Our church is governed by the Scriptures, acknowledging Christ as the head, rather than being under a denominational authority.
Our Church's Foundation
Our doctrinal beliefs encompass various key principles, including the autonomy of the local church, the priesthood of believers, the observance of biblical ordinances, individual responsibility for salvation, the separation of state and church, and the eternal security of the believer.
